Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about playing, practicing and using ChickenTask's free tools.
Getting started
What is ChickenTask?
ChickenTask is a website with free browser games, practice challenges and helpful tools. You can explore a farm in Pet the Chicken, train your aim, test your typing, play word puzzles and use a Word Counter.
Is ChickenTask free?
The current games and tools are free to use. You may see advertising that helps support the site.
Do I need to make an account or install anything?
No account or download is required to play. You can optionally sign in with Google or email to save supported game records to your account.
Can I use ChickenTask on an iPhone, Android device or tablet?
Yes, the website includes responsive layouts and mobile-friendly controls where practical. Pet the Chicken offers an on-screen joystick, swipe-to-look and PET button. Some challenges are easier with a mouse or keyboard.
Games and challenges
How do I play Pet the Chicken?
Find and pet all 12 chickens scattered around the 3D farm. Desktop: use W/S to move forward/backward, A/D to strafe, mouse to look, left click to pet, Shift to sprint and Esc to pause. Mobile: use the joystick, swipe to look and tap PET near a chicken.
Why can't I pet a chicken?
Move closer to an unpetted chicken and face it. A petting prompt appears once you're in range. Each chicken can be petted once per round.
How does the five-minute Aim Trainer work?
It runs four automatic 75-second drills: flick shots, target switching, moving targets and tracking. You'll see results when the routine finishes.
Does Aim Trainer use my exact Valorant or CS2 settings?
No. Browser pointer behavior, FOV and sensitivity differ from games with raw mouse input. Think of it as general practice, not a calibrated game simulator.
What is WPM in the typing game?
WPM means words per minute. The game also reports accuracy to help you balance speed and mistakes.
How do Daily Word and Word Scramble work?
Daily Word offers a word puzzle with up to six guesses. Word Scramble asks you to rearrange letters to find the correct word. Both are available in Games & Tools.

Where is the Word Counter?
It's available at Word Counter & Text Analyzer and from the Games & Tools hub. The homepage now features the wider collection of games.
What can the Word Counter measure?
Words, characters, numbers, sentences, paragraphs, reading time, speaking time and an approximate English reading grade.
Why doesn't Fetch & Analyze work on every URL?
Many websites block browser-based requests due to CORS restrictions. If fetching fails, copy the text and paste it into the Word Counter.
Are my scores saved on other devices?
Some games save best scores and preferences in your browser. If you sign in, supported records also sync to your account. Guest records stay on this browser and may be lost if you clear site data or use private mode. On shared devices, local records can be associated with whichever account signs in.
What happens to my text and other data?
Typed text is analyzed in your browser. Optional URL fetching sends a browser request to the source website. For details about cookies, analytics and advertising, review the Privacy Policy.
Why are there advertisements?
ChickenTask may use advertising to help keep its games and tools available free of charge.
