ChickenTask offers browser games, practice challenges and useful tools. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the site.
Game progress and browser storage
When playing as a guest, some personal best scores, game settings and puzzle progress are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser's site data may erase these records. The Word Counter analyzes text you type or paste locally in your browser. Optional URL fetching sends a browser request to the source website, which may block it.
Player accounts and cloud saving
If account sign-in is enabled and you choose to register, ChickenTask uses Google Firebase Authentication for Google sign-in or email/password accounts. Firebase processes the account identifiers and authentication information needed to sign you in. Supported game scores, records and settings may be saved to Google Cloud Firestore under your user ID so they can be accessed while signed in. ChickenTask's website code does not store your account password as a game record. Guest play remains available without signing in.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
We may use analytics services and Google AdSense. These services can use cookies or similar technologies subject to their policies and your available consent and privacy settings. For Google ad personalization choices, visit My Ad Center. Browser storage may also remember your theme preference and game progress.
Service providers
Our website is hosted through Netlify, and we use third-party services for games and website functionality. The 3D farm game currently loads the Three.js library from a CDN. Google Firebase provides optional account authentication and cloud data storage. Each provider may process technical information needed to deliver its service.
Your choices
You can play supported games without creating an account. You may clear locally saved game data through your browser settings. For questions about accessing or deleting account data, contact countmywords.com@gmail.com. We may need to verify account ownership before processing a request. We may update this policy when features or practices change.
